The tussar used in this saree is rich with no imperfections. Its a handwoven tussar by tussar silk saree with red and haldi yellow Ganga-Jamuna cotton borders from the weavers of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It has beautiful green, yellow and red butees all over the body along with gorgeous stripes made using extra weft work on the body and a traditional palla.
This saree has karvati (saw tooth) borders (kinaar) and a gorgeous running blouse piece.
Colours : Natural tussar body, red and yellow cotton borders, green, yellow and red yarn used in the weft to create the thikri butees and vertical stripes in the body.
