The tussar used in this saree is rich golden yellow in colour. It has butis (extra weft work) in red and orange colours throughout the body of the saree. It’s a handwoven tussar by tussar silk saree with red and orange Ganga-Jamuna cotton borders from the weavers of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It has beautiful red and orange peacock motifs on the palla.
This saree has karvati (saw tooth) borders (kinaar) and a gorgeous running blouse piece.
Colours : Natural tussar body, red and orange cotton borders, plum and yellow yarn used in the border design.
