Collection: Chinnalapatti Silk-Cotton Sarees

Chinnalapatti is a municipal town in Tamil Nadu, known for its weaving community. The weavers of Chinnalapatti have mastered the art of tie and dyeing the yarn before weaving single ikat sarees in the Pochampally style of weaving. They use Kora silk yarn for the warp and mercerized cotton yarn for the weft. The sarees thus created are lightweight and comfortable with the subtle elegance and grace of silk and the comfort of cotton. 

We, at Anandi's Trunk, have taken the help of the fabulous women of the Lambani community to embroider these silk-cotton sarees in their trademark style, with pretty mirrors and their traditional motifs.
